Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities and needs by observing their movements and behavior to inform treatment plans. Create and implement individualized rehabilitation plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modern modalities. Educate patients and family members about treatment protocols, recovery timelines, and strategies to manage pain and prevent further injury. Utilize targeted therapeutic exercise techniques to enhance mobility and strength while administering hands-on therapies and instructing patients on proper use of rehabilitation equipment. Maintain up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress while adhering to all compliance standards. Diagnose movement dysfunctions and collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans as necessary. This onsite role at Posture Solutions Ltd in Destin, Florida, focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent educational background
- Strong observational skills
- Effective communication abilities
- In-depth knowledge of treatment practices specific to orthopedic rehabilitation
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the needs of varying patient personalities and conditions
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Previous experience in multidisciplinary teams
