Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify rehabilitation objectives, then manage a caseload of one patient per hour with focused one-on-one attention. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans using evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs, delivering cost-effective interventions to improve range of motion, strength, and functional mobility. Utilize therapeutic and manual therapy techniques to facilitate recovery, while encouraging adherence to treatment plans and monitoring progress to adjust strategies as necessary. Document all patient care services accurately and collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure holistic care for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A valid Physical Therapist license in Washington, DC, with no history of disciplinary actions against your professional record
- Strong manual therapy skills
- A proven ability to formulate and implement effective exercise protocols specific to patient needs
- Proficiency in using WebPT EMR software for documentation and patient tracking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- This position is based onsite in Washington, DC
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Experience working with varied patient populations, including athletes and geriatric patients
- Certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or advanced rehabilitation techniques
