Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine functional abilities and limitations, then develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation. Monitor patient progress to adjust plans based on outcomes and educate patients on proper exercise techniques for long-term recovery and injury prevention. Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and progress notes while collaborating with orthopedic surgeons and other specialists in our outpatient facility. This role serves adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions including arthritis, with a focus on helping athletes and active professionals regain mobility.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Physical Therapy License
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly in orthopedic and sports medicine
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient tracking
- Certification in advanced therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to kinesiology taping, Dry Needling, or sports rehabilitation
