Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' orthopedic issues and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and advanced rehabilitation strategies while maintaining a manageable caseload. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Utilize evidence-based practice to inform treatment approaches, document all encounters in EMR software, and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Engage patients through education and motivation, advocating for non-invasive alternatives and guiding injury prevention strategies. Work primarily with adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid and active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey
- No history of sanctions or board actions
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Exercise prescription
- Rehabilitation strategies
- Familiarity with current physical therapy trends and research
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic setting or outpatient rehabilitation
- Completion of specialized training or certifications in orthopedic physical therapy
- Sports rehabilitation
- Related fields
