Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans for individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize recovery while documenting progress accurately to adjust plans as necessary. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss care strategies and educate patients and families on treatment processes, injury prevention, and home exercises. Work with diverse age groups ranging from children to senior adults in a collaborative environment focused on individualized treatment and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure/certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Experience in implementing effective treatment strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience specifically in orthopedic physical therapy
- Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based practices in physical therapy
- Previous experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
