Job Summary
Develop individualized therapy plans based on thorough evaluations of patients' needs, conditions, and responses to treatment. Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure compliance with established care plans. Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and massage. Conduct home assessments to optimize living environments for rehabilitation and provide recommendations promoting patient independence. Document all administrative and clinical records ensuring compliance with agency policies. Participate in case conferences to discuss and advance collective treatment objectives with multidisciplinary team members. Serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain issues, including elderly clients and those post-surgery or trauma.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- A valid Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A professional history marked by integrity, with no disciplinary actions against your license
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic techniques tailored to orthopedic conditions
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Prior experience in a home health setting
- Experience working directly with orthopedic patients
