Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, range of motion, and functional limitations on a case-by-case basis. Design and implement customized treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall physical well-being. Utilize a spectrum of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education techniques. Administer and assess the efficacy of modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy. Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to strategically address patient challenges and optimize health outcomes. Provide patients with education on injury prevention strategies, personalized home exercise programs, and necessary lifestyle modifications. Document all patient interactions and treatments precisely to meet regulatory standards. This full-time position is onsite in patients' homes in Kansas City, Missouri, with a salary of $100,000 to $120,000.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and a deep understanding of functional movement assessments
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive within a multidisciplinary team
- A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
