Job Summary
Develop and direct individualized treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore muscle function for adult patients with orthopedic conditions. Conduct thorough evaluations of physical capabilities, assess home environments for modifications, and administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and prosthetic adjustments. Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, mentor staff, and participate in interdisciplinary case reviews while maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring regulatory compliance. Train patients and families on device usage to sustain long-term recovery.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A minimum of one year of experience in orthopedic physical therapy
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions and therapeutic methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with patients and their families
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting
- Knowledge of rehabilitation technologies and adaptive techniques for enhancing functional capabilities
- Prior experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
