Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy treatments focused on preventing disability and relieving pain while restoring muscle function for clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Perform comprehensive evaluations through diagnostic assessments, administer manual and non-manual exercises, and utilize advanced modalities including traction and massage. Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure care plan adherence and instruct them on state supervisory requirements. Evaluate and recommend prosthetic and orthotic devices, liaise with physicians for modifications, and assess home environments to foster client independence. Document clinical records meticulously, including progress notes and discharge summaries, while actively participating in interdisciplinary case conferences and care plan updates. Submit orders in a timely manner and provide education to clients and families regarding rehabilitation protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- minimum of one year of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
