Job Summary
Assess patients' needs and establish personalized care plans focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation. Implement evidence-based treatment modalities to improve motion, strength, and mobility using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation. Design and facilitate wellness programs tailored to individual goals while monitoring and documenting patient progress to adjust treatment protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients dealing with orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Proven ability to perform patient assessments, create detailed treatment plans, and deliver direct care
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with patients, families, and colleagues effectively
- Capable of adapting to various patient personalities and fostering a supportive therapeutic environment
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience with advanced orthopedic treatment techniques, including but not limited to sports rehabilitation and post-operative care
- Familiarity with telehealth practices to provide patients with alternative means of receiving support
- Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management
