Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including assessments of physical function and mobility, to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize advanced techniques and treatment modalities tailored to orthopedic conditions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Educate patients and their families on treatment goals, progress, and therapeutic exercises, empowering them to participate actively in their rehabilitation. Re-evaluate treatment plans regularly to ensure goals are being met, and make necessary adjustments based on patient progress and feedback. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, treatments provided, progress notes, and discharge summaries while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate with healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including the State Practice Act and relevant standards of practice, while demonstrating a commitment to ethical care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida
- Temporary permits are welcomed
- Additional certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthCare Providers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or a related specialty
- Familiarity with evidence-based practice and the latest rehabilitation techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
