Job Summary
Gather detailed patient histories and conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate movement dysfunction and establish baseline capabilities. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, leveraging exercises, hands-on therapy, and therapeutic modalities. Instruct patients in therapeutic exercise techniques and guide them in the proper use of assistive devices to promote injury recovery and prevent further issues. Utilize various therapeutic methodologies, including massage and manual therapy, to stimulate healing and improve overall mobility. Maintain meticulous patient records to monitor treatment progress and adjust plans based on observed outcomes. Provide education and resources regarding home care and self-management strategies to patients and their families. This role serves a diverse population ranging from adolescents to seniors recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Candidates must hold a valid Florida Physical Therapy license and a Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent observational and diagnostic skills
- An understanding of psychological and emotional factors affecting recovery
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or comparable credentials
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Knowledge of advanced physical therapy practices and treatment modalities
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
