Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, movement patterns, and pain levels to guide individualized treatment planning. Develop and implement tailored programs combining exercises, hands-on therapy, and manual techniques to restore function and relieve pain. Educate patients and families on in-home exercise strategies and recovery expectations while monitoring progress to adjust plans for defined milestones. Assist clients with mobility aids like walkers and wheelchairs to enhance safety and confidence. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to align care strategies for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. This role supports diverse patient populations in a state-of-the-art Miami rehabilitation center, focusing on overcoming mobility challenges through an integrated, patient-centered approach.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze patient behavior and translate observations into actionable treatment plans
- Competence in managing diverse patient personalities and tailoring approach to meet individual needs
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist
- Experience in diagnosing movement dysfunctions and executing appropriate treatment protocols
Desired Qualifications
- preferably with a focus on orthopedic care in an outpatient setting
- Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation methods and advanced therapeutic equipment
