Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities to identify individual needs and goals. Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapy techniques and modalities. Provide one-on-one patient care sessions, ensuring treatments are effective and engaging, while delivering evidence-based interventions to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and coordination. Educate patients and families about rehabilitation processes, self-management strategies, and injury prevention. Regularly evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach. Work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a modern outpatient facility serving athletes and individuals with orthopedic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Virginia State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a higher degree such as an MS or DPT
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an outpatient setting
- Strong knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices and techniques
- Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and adapt communication styles accordingly
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Exemplary interpersonal skills, enabling effective team collaboration and patient interaction
- Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sports medicine or rehabilitation specifically related to orthopedic injuries
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices in outpatient physical therapy
- Previous experience developing community outreach programs or patient education initiatives
