Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to tailor treatment protocols for orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain. Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment. Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, self-management strategies, and proper use of assistive devices like walkers and wheelchairs. Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving needs while maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to streamline care and provide recommendations for in-home exercises. Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Salary $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Strong foundation in orthopedic assessment and treatment practices
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and education
- Ability to conduct careful observations and adapt therapies to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Experience with diverse patient personalities and the capacity to foster positive therapeutic relationships
- Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years' experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment strategies aimed at specific rehabilitation goals
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions accurately
