Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and goals, developing tailored treatment plans that address individual orthopedic conditions. Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, while utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance range of motion and mobility. Provide alternative therapies to reduce medication reliance and instruct patients in appropriate exercise protocols and lifestyle changes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans and document activities meticulously using WebPT. Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, focusing on improving overall wellness and functionality. Work onsite at patients' homes in the Chicago, Illinois area, treating individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid physical therapist license in the state of Illinois
- A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license
- Strong skills in manual therapy techniques
- Proficient in developing exercise protocols tailored to individual needs
- Proficient use of EMR software, specifically WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality care manually and through therapeutic techniques
- Experience in home care environments
