Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Home Care

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, assessing range of motion, strength, and functional limitations in a home environment. Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, relieving pain, and improving overall physical function. Administer therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education, while utilizing modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy. Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care. Provide education to patients and families on injury prevention strategies and home-based exercise regimens. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatments in accordance with clinic standards. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques, particularly in manual therapy and functional movement assessments
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively
- Strong collaborative skills to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with home care therapy practices
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or rehabilitation methodologies
