Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual objectives and physical needs, then design tailored care plans addressing both immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals. Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions to manage a balanced caseload of approximately one patient per hour, utilizing manual therapy, exercise prescription, and functional training to promote mobility improvement. Document progress meticulously in the electronic management system, monitor treatment outcomes to adjust strategies, and provide education on home care routines and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate or Master's in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia
- Clean disciplinary record
- Strong foundational knowledge in manual therapy techniques
- Strong foundational knowledge in functional rehabilitation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT
- Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs
- A background in alternative treatment approaches that minimize reliance on medications or surgical interventions
