Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients with orthopedic injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Conduct detailed functional evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, and joint abilities. Utilize therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to relieve pain and improve mobility. Provide education on rehabilitation protocols and injury prevention while monitoring progress to adjust treatment strategies as needed. Collaborate with physicians regarding prosthetic and orthotic modifications and document all interactions in electronic medical record systems. This role focuses on adult and geriatric patients within a supportive outpatient rehabilitation center in Hallandale, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic settings
