Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests focused on muscles, nerves, joints, and overall capabilities. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans targeting pain relief, muscle function restoration, and functional independence. Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing care plans as required by state law. Monitor patient progress, document clinical records, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed results. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and review clinical outcomes. Evaluate home environments for modifications and engage with families to provide education on therapeutic devices. Submit documentation timely in line with organizational policies. Work onsite Monday to Friday at our Fairview, NJ facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing in New Jersey
- Up-to-date CPR certification
- A valid driver's license and automobile insurance
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Ability to make independent decisions and exhibit strong critical thinking skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding patient care with integrity and commitment
- At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in acute care or home care settings
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage individualized patient care plans successfully
- Experience in supervising and training Physical Therapy Assistants
