Job Summary
Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and functional limitations to develop tailored treatment plans. Design and implement evidence-based exercise regimens and hands-on therapy sessions aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain. Continuously evaluate patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective rehabilitation. Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care to enhance long-term wellness. Document patient progress meticulously in our electronic health records system and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes. The role supports individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders within a state-of-the-art facility in Palm City, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- A current and active Florida Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills in patient assessments and treatment planning
- Strong communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Proficiency in utilizing therapeutic modalities, manual therapy techniques, and exercise prescription
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation and patient management systems
