Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, analyzing their physical abilities and limitations. Design and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, emphasizing the use of evidence-based practices. Utilize various therapeutic interventions and modalities, such as manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and gait training. Maintain excellent communication with patients and their families, ensuring understanding and adherence to treatment protocols. Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and documentation, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues to refine rehabilitation strategies and share best practices that enhance patient care. Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational presentations to promote physical therapy awareness and resource access.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer proficiency
- A passion for building strong relationships with patients
- A commitment to helping them achieve their functional goals
