Job Summary
Conduct thorough initial evaluations to identify patient objectives and mobility needs, then manage a caseload with one-on-one interactions to personalize care. Utilize manual therapy and exercise techniques to reduce pain and enhance mobility, while developing tailored care plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic methods. Monitor and document patient progression meticulously to adjust treatment plans, and motivate patients through educational initiatives on self-management and injury prevention. Collaborate regularly with physicians and other therapists to ensure coordinated care, and participate in team meetings to discuss progress and innovative approaches.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist, maintained in good standing without disciplinary actions
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation principles
- A firm grasp on manual therapy techniques
- Proficiency in implementing customized exercise programs tailored to patient-specific needs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT
- Previous experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, particularly in sports medicine or rehabilitation
- Demonstrated success in utilizing therapeutic modalities to achieve significant patient outcomes
