Job Summary

Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatments focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function as outlined in each patient's plan of care. Conduct thorough evaluations through diagnostic tests to develop tailored rehabilitation strategies and administer therapeutic exercises using both manual and non-manual methods. Oversee physical therapy assistants, ensuring proper execution of protocols while adjusting plans based on patient progress. Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and discharge summaries accurately. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on total client treatment strategies and educate patients and families on therapy usage and rehabilitation processes. This role primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders, with a focus on restoring functional capabilities for active adults and seniors.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in orthopedic physical therapy
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate accurate documentation and clinical management
  • Advanced training in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy or sports rehabilitation methods
  • Experience working with patients from diverse backgrounds and varying degrees of orthopedic impairments
