Job Summary

Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians, documenting medical histories and current health statuses. Design and implement personalized treatment programs tailored to each patient's needs and rehabilitation goals, utilizing various therapeutic modalities, techniques, and exercise programs to maximize recovery potential. Monitor and modify treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and feedback, while providing guidance and education to patients and their caregivers regarding exercises, activities, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to integrate services and optimize patient outcomes. Ensure that patient records are accurate and up to date, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Work primarily with patients who have undergone orthopedic surgery, experienced sports injuries, or suffer from chronic musculoskeletal conditions across pediatric to geriatric populations.

Required Qualifications

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
  • A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine settings
  • Familiarity with modern treatment technologies and rehabilitation techniques
  • Background in educating patients and designing community outreach initiatives
