Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine appropriate treatment programs. Design, implement, and modify treatment plans based on assessment findings and ongoing progress while adhering to physician's plans of care. Utilize therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery, improve function, and alleviate pain across orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties. Engage with patients and caregivers by providing education on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and recovery strategies. Document all interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Monitor and report on patient progress to the wider healthcare team and actively participate in developing team-based initiatives to enhance patient care quality.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Valid State License for Physical Therapy in New Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in documentation, word processing, and other software applications for clinical record keeping
- Ability to build rapport with patients and foster a supportive, communicative environment conducive to recovery
- A positive attitude towards community involvement and patient advocacy
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Experience with a diverse patient caseload, including rehabilitation strategies for sports medicine, pediatrics, and neurological conditions
