Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, including testing range of motion and functional limitations. Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on enhancing mobility and strength while alleviating pain. Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education sessions tailored to meet specific patient needs. Employ modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy to support treatment plans as clinically indicated. Foster strong collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, including orthopedists and other specialists, to develop a cohesive treatment approach aimed at optimizing patient recovery. Provide education to patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, home exercise programs, and essential lifestyle modifications important for long-term wellness. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings
- Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic techniques, particularly in manual therapy and functional movement assessments.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Capable of thriving in a team-focused environment while maintaining compassion and professionalism.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with holistic treatment approaches.
- Background in developing programs focused on sports rehabilitation and prevention techniques.
- Experience in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient documentation and outcomes tracking.
