Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and mobility limitations, then design personalized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, functional training, and modalities. Implement evidence-based interventions to reduce pain, improve motion, and enhance quality of life while educating patients on home exercise programs. Regularly assess progress to modify treatment plans and maintain detailed documentation of patient outcomes for regulatory compliance. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for orthopedic patients recovering from surgery, traumatic injuries, chronic pain, or sports-related injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
- A valid State of New Jersey Physical Therapy license or eligibility to attain licensure
- A strong interest and experience in treating orthopedic populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices and familiarity with various therapeutic techniques
- Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions and treatments effectively
