Job Summary

Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and needs, developing tailored care plans that involve varied treatment techniques. Implement and monitor evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination for patients with orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain. Create customized fitness and wellness programs incorporating functional activities, while providing motivational support and education to ensure patients understand exercise purposes. Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary and maintaining consistent communication regarding progress. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach for optimal patient outcomes. Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation to continually enhance care quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current, active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation, focusing on patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Extensive experience in patient assessments, treatment planning, and direct intervention strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Ability to connect with patients across a spectrum of personalities and ensure a supportive and understanding treatment environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced therapeutic modalities, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Certification or specialized training in orthopedic physical therapy or related fields.
