Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain, or sports injuries to establish customized treatment plans. Utilize therapeutic techniques including exercise prescription, manual therapy, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve functional mobility. Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on continuous assessment of patient progress. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and outcomes in compliance with legal standards while educating patients and families on assistive devices. Engage in regular re-evaluations to modify treatment objectives and participate in team training sessions. This full-time role at Hemisphere Orthopedic Center in Des Plaines, IL, serves patients of all ages in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- Possession of a valid state license in Physical Therapy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in using word processing and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- A minimum of two years in a clinical role focusing on physical therapy
