Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to devise individualized treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as exercise, hands-on therapy, and advanced modalities to facilitate recovery. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting protocols as necessary, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create integrated care strategies. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding therapeutic techniques and assistive device usage. Work onsite at our outpatient office in Hampton, Virginia, serving a diverse population including children and adults recovering from orthopedic injuries or chronic conditions. Pursue ongoing professional development through workshops and training to enhance therapeutic skills.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Proven experience as a Physical Therapist
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using technology for documentation and treatment planning
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
