Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical capabilities following injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing exercise, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electric stimulation. Monitor progress, adjust protocols as needed, and educate patients on home exercise programs and preventative care. Document all sessions, track outcomes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary providers for seamless care coordination. Participate in case discussions, monthly team meetings, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. This full-time, onsite role at Hemisphere Orthopedic Center in Decatur, Illinois, focuses on orthopedic patients ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to adults with chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software
- A collaborative spirit
- Adaptability to meet patient and organizational needs
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the field
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
