Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify movement limitations and customize evidence-based treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Manage a patient caseload with one-on-one interactions, implementing manual therapy and exercise regimens to promote mobility and pain relief while educating clients on self-management strategies. Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation following regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and one PTA to provide coordinated care, focusing on creating tailored fitness programs that improve strength, flexibility, and balance.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid licensure as a physical therapist in the state of New Jersey
- A clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced qualifications such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Prior experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically within orthopedic outpatient environments
- Proficiency in conducting manual therapy techniques and developing tailored exercise plans to address individual patient needs
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT or equivalent platforms, for seamless documentation and assessment
