Job Summary
Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to restore function and alleviate pain for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to determine rehabilitation potential, then supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure correct execution of manual therapy, exercise regimens, and modalities. Monitor patient progress continuously, modifying plans based on response while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and educating patients on preventive strategies. Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences to develop holistic care plans and contribute to community health workshops. Requires a Doctorate of Physical Therapy with two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, current NJ licensure, and CPR certification. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedics
- Current certification in CPR
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
