Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy treatment to enhance patient recovery, focusing on pain relief, muscle function restoration, and disability prevention. Evaluate patient functionality using diagnostic tests to develop tailored care plans and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure optimal treatment delivery. Administer therapeutic techniques such as manual exercises, traction, and massage while documenting clinical observations and progress meticulously. Perform home evaluations to assess rehabilitation needs and educate family members on therapy regimens. Collaborate with healthcare providers on case conferences and adjust treatments based on patient progress. Work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- Strong understanding of musculoskeletal disorders and rehabilitation methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
