Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Implement hands-on therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to facilitate recovery, improve range of motion, and alleviate pain. Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques and at-home exercises that support recovery and enhance overall physical health. Collaborate closely with physicians and occupational therapists to ensure coordinated care, while maintaining detailed patient records documenting treatment progress and outcomes. Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to patient care strategies and share insights on best practices. This full-time, onsite role at our outpatient facility in Spring Hill, Florida, focuses on treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience within an orthopedic setting
- Strong foundational knowledge in musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with the latest rehabilitation techniques
- Proficiency in manual therapy skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic modalities
- Proficiency in exercise prescription aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing physical function
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in orthopedics or relevant specialties
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Continuing education or certification in specialized areas such as sports therapy, pediatric therapy, or pain management
