Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to identify goals and needs. Manage a patient caseload of approximately one patient per hour by designing and implementing effective rehabilitation strategies that restore mobility and functionality. Utilize evidence-based techniques to administer cost-effective treatment options, develop personalized fitness programs, and motivate patients throughout their recovery process. Collaborate with physicians and occupational therapists to create cohesive treatment plans while regularly assessing effectiveness and documenting progress. Focus on enhancing quality of life for individuals with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Exceptional professional conduct, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license
- Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating effective hands-on skills
- Strong proficiency in developing and implementing personalized exercise protocols tailored to each patient's specific needs
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and communication
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing your ability to manage complex cases and develop individualized care plans
