Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new patients to identify physical limitations and rehabilitation needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based techniques, administer therapeutic modalities including manual therapy, and supervise rehabilitative exercises. Educate patients and families on home exercise strategies and long-term recovery management. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans using clinical reasoning and feedback. Collaborate with occupational therapists and support staff to formulate comprehensive care strategies for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Requires a valid New York state license and minimum two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Strong communication skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Experience in utilizing advanced physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy and evidence-based approaches
