Job Summary
Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to assess patient needs, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans for individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide ongoing consultations and support regarding each patient's continuum of care, while implementing treatment protocols and re-evaluating progress to achieve optimal outcomes. Engage diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity, educating them on exercises, injury prevention, and the rehabilitation process to promote empowerment. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and interactions to ensure effective communication with physicians and other team members. Participate in departmental leadership initiatives, including community outreach and quality improvement projects, and engage in continuous professional development through staff meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Connecticut
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic medical records and word processing software
- Possible weekend shifts
- Emphasizing a drug-free workplace
- Require vaccinations
