Develop individualized therapy programs to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and maximize physical function based on patient medical conditions and rehabilitation goals. Conduct detailed evaluations of functional abilities using advanced diagnostic testing, then assess and adjust home environments to enhance patient independence. Administer physical therapy interventions including manual exercises, traction, and modalities while evaluating, fitting, and recommending orthotic and prosthetic devices. Oversee treatment plans executed by Physical Therapy Assistants, supervise their instruction, and prepare meticulous clinical records for regulatory compliance. Consult with patients and families to explain therapy methods and effective home techniques. Contribute to continuous improvement through interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences.
