Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including health history gathering and specific assessments, to develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on evidence-based practices. Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders in both acute care and outpatient settings. Perform ongoing assessments to interpret progress and adjust interventions, while maintaining accurate documentation of interactions, treatments, and outcomes. Manage discharge planning to ensure smooth post-therapy transitions and provide clear follow-up recommendations. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to foster a supportive environment, and actively participate in facility meetings to share insights on best practices. Work a standard Monday through Friday schedule with a 40-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices.
