Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain to assess physical capabilities. Develop individualized treatment programs integrating evidence-based methodologies for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related conditions. Administer tailored therapeutic interventions while maintaining clear communication with patients, caregivers, and the healthcare team. Provide education on conditions, treatments, and home exercise programs to support recovery. Meet performance indicators and utilization goals aligned with clinic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably with a focus on orthopedics
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications
- A demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and exhibit genuine empathy and understanding
