Job Summary
Conduct detailed patient evaluations to assess physical function and therapeutic requirements, utilizing evidence-based methodologies. Design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's specific rehabilitation goals, ensuring an exceptional recovery experience. Supervise therapy sessions, providing skilled interventions that may involve therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistance with mobility and daily activities. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, ensuring they are empowered to actively participate in the rehabilitation process. Develop and lead group therapy sessions designed to foster recovery in a community setting, focusing on joint mobility and strength-building. Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care. This full-time role is based onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Joliet, Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or the ability to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clinical or internship experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and techniques particular to hand and wrist rehabilitation
