Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and disabilities, using this information to create tailored treatment plans for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions. Provide ongoing consultation to fellow healthcare providers concerning the continuum of care and engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management. Continuously monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain high standards of documentation and compliance with federal and state regulations. Supervise assigned support staff, provide guidance and mentorship, and contribute to community outreach programs and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain licensure through attendance at professional development seminars and continuing education programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current State License in Physical Therapy. Maintained good standing with the regulatory board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting
- Experience utilizing specific therapeutic modalities such as hydrotherapy, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation
- Familiarity with patient management software
- Understanding of treatment billing and coding
