Job Summary
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to alleviate pain and optimize muscle function while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants. Conduct comprehensive evaluations using diagnostic tests, implement manual therapeutic exercises, and utilize advanced treatments like massage and traction. Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, contribute to care plan development, and maintain meticulous clinical documentation. Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate treatment plans and educate clients on therapy methods. This full-time onsite role at Pinnacle Flex Wellness Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, supports patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions through a diverse mix of office and home visits.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current, valid PT licensure in the state of Virginia
- One (1) year of professional experience in physical therapy
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficient understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements affecting physical therapy practice
- Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing for effective communication with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Strong capacity for leadership, demonstrating accountability and decisiveness in the clinical setting
- Ability to provide professional judgment in delegating tasks to ensure a cohesive care approach
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation with knowledge of relevant exercise protocols and treatment modalities
- Proven track record of engaging with both patients and families to facilitate improved health outcomes
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring less experienced staff, contributing to team development
