Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for orthopedic clients recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain. Implement interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities while monitoring progress and adjusting protocols to optimize recovery. Educate patients and families on injury prevention and rehabilitation protocols, then document all interactions in the electronic health record system. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians and occupational therapists to coordinate care. Perform these duties Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, managing a patient volume of 6 to 8 individuals daily within our Monroe, NY outpatient facility.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate)
- Minimum of two years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation or specialized sports therapy
- Experience utilizing evidence-based approaches and manual therapy techniques to treat musculoskeletal conditions
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and regulatory compliance standards in physical therapy practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
