Job Summary
Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function based on physicians' prescribed care plans. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, and administer manual therapeutic exercises tailored to specific needs. Evaluate home environments for rehabilitation optimization, fit and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices, and prepare detailed clinical documentation in compliance with OASIS standards. Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain open communication with physicians and case managers to adjust care plans. Submit a resume and cover letter detailing experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Possess a valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
- Hold a current CPR certification to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and quality patient care.
- Exhibit outstanding interpersonal communication skills, actively engaging clients and their families to promote therapy adherence and positive outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year's experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly desirable and will enhance your qualifications.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in physical therapy practices, especially in home settings.
