Job Summary
Direct and administer physical therapy programs to enhance mobility and functional independence for patients with orthopedic conditions. Design individualized treatment plans based on functional evaluations, perform comprehensive assessments of muscle strength and joint mobility, and evaluate home environments for rehabilitation purposes. Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants while administering therapeutic exercises and modalities such as traction and massage. Monitor and document patient progress, promptly reporting changes to physicians and case managers, and collaborate in interdisciplinary case conferences to optimize care strategies. Provide guidance and education to patients and families regarding therapy programs and equipment usage. This role requires a current Florida license, one year of experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- A current and unrestricted physical therapy license in the state of Florida
- At least one year of professional experience as a physical therapist
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license with automobile insurance
- Strong communication skills
- Must be available for traveling to various patient homes within Cypress, Florida
