Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Devise personalized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to unique patient requirements, then monitor progress consistently to modify plans based on outcomes and feedback. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Motivate and educate patients regarding their conditions, treatment protocols, and the importance of adherence for optimal recovery.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation
- A proven track record in treating patients with musculoskeletal disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt treatment methodologies according to varying personality types and patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using advanced methodologies such as dry needling or Kinesio taping
- Prior experience in a collaborative, outpatient therapy setting that prioritizes patient-centered approaches
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation and care tracking
