Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, identify functional limitations, and develop personalized treatment plans outlining goals and approaches. Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities while regularly assessing patient progress. Provide consultation to fellow healthcare providers to ensure a seamless continuum of care and maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans and compliance with legal standards. Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and aides, while engaging in community outreach programs and marketing efforts to enhance clinic visibility. Participate in continuing education and staff meetings to foster professional development. This full-time role is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Stafford, Virginia, focusing primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from surgery, athletes, and those with chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Computer skills necessary for documentation and patient management
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- A background in community outreach or educational programs related to physical therapy
